Default How to reposition engine? 95 caravan 3.0

I believe my problem with going thru driver side axles is the motor position. I measured the length and I'm 1/2 inch short on the drivers side. This is born out at the engine mount(water pump side) by seeing the adjustment slots all to one side.

It appears the water pump engine mount is the only one that is positioned and locked in place, the front mount is a hanger that looks like it can slide side to side & the tranny side mount is a hanger that can slide side to side. Therefore.....if I loosen the water pump side mount I should be able to slide the motor side to side.....NOT....!!!!!

Is my thinking wrong or is the motor harder to slide over. I had a crowbar down the engine mount plate and had a pretty good leverage point but it isn't budging. I need to slide the engine to the passenger side 1/2-3/4 inch. If I jack the motor up, will that take the tension out of it where it would be easier to move....?

Any experienced help with this would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Joe

you need to loosen the front mount down by the radiator also. The trans mount is the only one that will slide. And make sure it isn't broken, that is the mount that fails all the time.
