Default Right or left-handed threads?

I have a 1997 Dodge Grand Caravan SE with a 3.0 liter engine. I need to know if the threads in the end of the crankshaft are right or left handed threads? I can't seem to budge the bolt and I want to be sure that I am loosening it in the correct direction.

master tech, not trying to be argumentative, but you still did not answer the question. Right or left measured from where?

No I would do that. Thats just not just me. Most of todays cars and trucks are right handed thread. There are a few parts that are left handed threads, like the ring gear on the rear diff of a truck or the ring gear on the minivans final drive. Which way is the crankshaft turning? First of all, why do you need to remove the bolt. Because you have 6 to 8 10mm bolts holding the pulleys to the sprocket.
