Yup, I am considering trading this in. I am tired of the transmission issues and them being "normal". Quest, or Sienna Here i may come......

I haven't seen as many problems with the 2012 6 speeds, so maybe they fix them. But now I'm seeing a lot of P0340 codes for the exhaust cam phasers on the 3.6 motors.

Did ya trade in your ride?

Now, just for the fun of it - I searched Google (enter with quotes: "2011 Nissan Quest" "transmission problems") and got 86 results and ("2011 toyota Sienna" "transmission problems") and got 207,000 results. Yea, I know - many of the results are are skewed by Google's search algorithm - but, it makes me feel better.

And I've been frequenting an 2011-2012 Odyssey forum where a number of people have been having unresolved transmission problems and are getting rid of their vans. So it would seem that all of the manufacturers have issues.

well, how many Nissan Quest you see on the road everyday? I see 100 dodge/chrysler, or 50 toyota Sienna van b4 i see 1 Nissan quest.
I am having Cam Phaser problem with my Dad's 08 Highlander too recent, fixed under waranty.
can't say who builds better cars/van, but sometimes reliability do depends on lucks.

Hey, Trade it. I'd do the same if Chrysler wasn't taking care of me and my $40 grand van.

Absolutely steak59. It really is the luck of the draw these days.

Wow Cougar41. You really paid $40K? I know the sticker price is high but after all the discounts - you always get Chrysler/Dodge Van's considerably less.

I agree. However - we must keep this in perspective. Right or wrong - Forum's generate two primary (in my opinon) forms of threads. One type thread is modifications and the other type of thread is problems. We have to consider the number of actual sales verses complaints... Heck, I remember years ago (owned a 2004 Nissan Frontier Crew with SuperCharger) and their were a few complaints about the 4X4 breaking down. After numerous thread exchanges - we found out that one owner was running in 4X4 pulling a trailer while navigating off-road and the other was running the 4X4 on dry pavement for over 6 months! I guess what I am saying is while many members mention everything that led up to a problem - some really don't think about some of the actions prior to the problem. Well, hope everyone enjoyed my 2 cents!

Nah. Payed 26 and change for my 96 in 95. Considering inflation, I figured a new decked out everything but the kitchen sink model went for around 40. 35 sound better?
