Replace coolant, is the ok procedure?
This what i did in past. Want to replace coolant. Drain coolant. Run water through radiator through bottom hose. Drain. Add water. Run to operating temp.so t-stat opens. Drain. Add 50/50 coolant.I don't want to do it that way.
I don't want to take out t-stat because don't want to buy gasket.
So, how about. Drain it. Run to room temp. (t-stat opens) flushing water through the radiator spout while letting it drain out the bottom hose. This I hope this will get as much out of the engine as possible without taking out plugs out of block, which I not capable of doing.
What do you think?
