Back LCD on VES not working

After trying many thing and with the help of a friend I found that in the first screen the ribbon cable that connects the screen to the main panel of it is damage from opening ang closing it.
Is a cable that looks like a laptop cable it has 34 pin and it says fujikura-p 20706 awm
Fujikura-P AWM 20706 105C 60V VW-1 -F-
Now the questions is does anyone know where I can get this type of cable?

This cable is used on some Epsom stylus printers as well. You just might be able to get the part from Epsom. The alternative is to go to a an electronics repair shop and see if they can splice new wires to replace the broken ones or do it yourself. After all what do you have to loose?
