This problem is with a 2009 Grand Caravan. I am experiencing difficulty shifting to park. If I cannot shift to park I cannot start the vehicle. So far I have been able to jiggle it from R to P but I am nervous it may leave me high and dry some day. Also all shifting in general is getting stiffer to shift. Any suggestions?

 

An extra look under the hood after reading on this site and I see that the cable linked to the shift was orange and very rusty - cleaned up a little and sprayed with oil and everything works like new! Guess the salt used in this country is too much for some cables! Thanks all for reading and suggestions.
