89 Turbo Voyager - New Owner with Questions!
Hey everyone,
I just sold my Porsche 944 and picked up an 89 2.5 Turbo Voyager last week for $300! I've already added a boost gauge and upped the boost (via bleeder mod) to 11psi. This van is smokin, here's my current kill sheet:
Celica GTS w/ intake, exhaust, and chip
Civic SI with tons of work done
5.0 Mustang foxbody
BMW 325i
V6 DSM Eclipse
Porsche 944 (ha!)
V6 Tiburon
the interior has been mostly gutted, and the van weighs about 2850lbs. I'm trying to make it as fast as possible for as cheap as possible.
I'm currently winning a volvo IC on ebay for $20, so once i get that in, and fabricate my custom cut-out exhaust with $30 in parts from home depot, i plan on pushing 18-20psi. an EGT and A/F gauge kit is on the way (not so cheap).
but i want more! a few friends have suggested an AWD conversion from a gen2 grand caravan. anyone have any idea how hard/easy this would be? i'd be willing to swap drivetrains into my van, or even put my turbo engine in the grand caravan. this isn't a priority, just something to consider.
any tips on how to make this van faster would be greatly appreciated. I'm making a website for it and will have it up with lots of pics soon.
go dodge!
