Hi all,

I have a 2004 Grand Caravan and the airbag light comes on intermittently. It stays on for varying periods of time. Bought the van used so I can't know the true history. Any suggestions on where to start troubleshooting this?

You need to have the air bag module checked for codes and go from there. Could be a clockspring.

More likey it's the seat belt pretensioner. Next time the light comes on, wiggle the harness going to the pretensioner on the seat belt buckles on the front seats. If that is the issue, wiggling the connector will make the light go off.

 

Active forum! Don't check it for a few days and have to go back several pages. Thanks for the tip. This one had me hopeful but unfortunately doesn't seem to be my issue. At least wiggling both drivers side and passenger side harness didn't make a difference on the light. I guess it's scan time. Thanks for taking the time guys!
