HELP !!! I goofed up!!!
Well I spent several hours yesterday replacing the blower motor relay that Chrysler thought would be a good idea to hide behind the fuse block/wiring center under the dash in my 1996 Caravan.
After getting everything back in place, I reconnected the battery and lo and behold, my 4 way flashers were flashing.....no switch on, key off,,,,,,
I guessed where the relays went back into the block and apparently didn't put them back in the correct place. Does anyone know where the relays go?? There are 4 spots. The directional/DLR relay has special pinouts so that one is right but there are two others that are wrong. but there are THREE spots!!! Before I tear half the vehicle apart, I would like to find out which goes where. Haynes manual is worthless when it comes to this.
If anyone can help, I would be most grateful. Thanks

This looks like the junction block panel - http://www.justanswer.com/dodge/3dnt...e-caravan.html
Just curious. I've changed that relay a couple times. Didn't take anything apart. Just took out the bracket holding the relay, pitched it and zip tied the relay to an adjacent wire bundle for easier access. Agreed, not a joy to get at but I didn't see a need to dismantle anything.

My junction box panel only has 4 places for relays and the one space is of special pinouts to accommodate the DLR/Directional relay.
The Blower motor relay is buried behind that junction box panel and is a chore to get to. I did a lot of research about how to change it and everyone I spoke to told me the procedure to remove it. Search on this forum and you will see what I mean.
I am giving up on the Caravan. It needs more work than I can afford to do to it so I am selling it to a salvage yard. It was given to me and I thought it may be a good project but there is way too much work needed.

Sucks to be led down the wrong path. I've been there too many times. Many posts on many forums subscribe to dismantling the junction block to get at the blower relay. I just shake my head. At least Chrysler made the right move on the 97s and put it in the underhood fuse panel next to the battery.
Swing by a dealership. It will take them two minutes to figure it out and probably won't charge you a dime.
