Default Torque Converter

figured id post this here too.

09 Town @ Country, 3.8 6spd
approx 48,000 miles

Grrrrr. Well, this sucks, I just took a trip over Stevens pass from Everett WA to Omak WA. On the way there i think the TC started to go bad .
I had Cruise control on at about 62mph most of the way. I stopped at a restaurant for a little bit, after about an hour when I got back on the road after turning a corner and slowing down a little bit I gave it a little gas (just enough to keep speed of 50ish around the next few corners I felt a shudder/jolt. after driving around Omak for a few days I didnt have the problem. When I left today I hit a little hill in a 50 mph speed limit, the speed dropped off to around 45 due to the person in front of me, I was giving it enough gas to keep speed at 45 when it started to jolt/shudder about 6 times a few seconds apart. I gave it a little gas to get past 50 and all was fine. Well, this happens everytime I drop down to around 45-50mph and give it just enough gas to keep speed.
I have had a few other hiccups with this van also, 2-3 harsh shift/shudder, bump on stop after acceleration, among other things.
Had a relearn done around march 15th and everything was fine for a while, until now with the new problem with this shudder/jolt, also the 2-3 harsh shift/shudder is back a little bit.
Anyone have any Ideas?
Torque Converter?
Shift Solenoid?

Anyone have any idea how much it would cost at the dealership to have the TC replaced and see if there is a TSB that applies to my vehicle?
I have read TSB's about the 62te shift problems and improvements for the 08 vans.

If you still have warranty on the transmission. I would get the van to the dealer as soon has you can. The problem maybe more than the torque converter.

sorry forgot that detail, bought it used, with 38,000 on it, no warranty.

also forgot to mention that I think I overheated the trannsmission coming down the pass, left it in Cruise control and let the engine do the majority of the braking trying to save my rotors, at one point the trannsmission just started downshifting, up to just under 5000 rpm. (wife kinda freaked out), as I pulled off to the side of the road and slow down the revs dropped steadily with MPH.
think it hit limp mode. oops!! shut van off to reset trannsmission, didnt have another downshift issue after that. I think I might have burned the fluid?
I have a few days off so I am going to hit the highway again and see if the shudder around 50 happens before the trannmission fluid warms up, if it doesnt then I will get all the old fluid replaced.
If it does do it even cold I think its time to take it in and have it looked at.
boy I cant really afford that.

Any other suggestions?
