Default Changing front disc pads

Hi all. I have a 2003 grand caravan and am about to replace the front disc pads. I have replaced pads on all my other cars but this is the first car I've had with anti lock brakes.

Is there any cautions I should take or anything special I should know?

Open the bleed valve to allow the fluid to exit the caliper as you compress it. You do not want to push the fluid back through the ABS system. There could be come crud in the caliper that could cause problems.

I even do this on non-ABS systems. It is a good thing to flush the fluid to replace it with fresh fluid. Water can be in the old fluid and it needs to be removed.
