Default 2012 Dodge Caravan Uconnect problem

I just puechaced a new van and tried to set up a cel phone uconnection. Both Uconnect and the cel phone state that pairing is complete. Periodically the vehicle radio screen with show the cel phones battery level and signal strength. However when trying to make a call the screen shows "phone not available". When phoning the cel from another phone the cel goes to voicemail when connected to uconnect.
Anyone know a solution?

need a little more information first:
1) what radio do you have?
2) what phone do you have?

Isn't that phone is the same as the VX 9200? If so what is the SW version for the phone? I know there has been several issues with the 9200.

Default Software version

I believe the VX and CX are the same (CX being Canadian).
The SW version is cx92TE10.

Hmm, The VX9200 that I have in the drawer has a SW version of VX920V07, so I'm not sure about yours. Do you know if it's the most current level? If so, Have you recently had an OTA update to the phone?
Last year on the VX model, I had an issue with a lower SW version. The issue was that the phonebook download was interfering with the Uconnect connecting.
Perhaps you can try something. delete the pairing of the phone to Uconnect and Uconnect from the phone. Start a fresh pairing session, this time when you get them paired and the phone shows the request to download the pb, select "always & no 9or decline, whatever the phone says)". The request box will come back about 5 times. Just ignore it, and it will stop till the next ignition cycle. Which at that time just ignore it.
What I'd like to see is if without the pb being downloaded, will the phone and uconnect pair up and bond.(by bond, I mean fully connect and be able to use). Will the phone stay connected, display the signal & battery levels and let you place calls.
