I found that cutting the tie-wraps that hold the large wiring bundle in place above the solenoid pack really helped gain access to the bolt towards the fender. There are 2 tie wraps that you can snip, and then wrestle the bundle towards the fender.
Blast the area between the solenoid pack and the trans with Gunk and then HP water...and then do it a second time. This area collects a lot of grime that will try to fall inside the trans when the pack is removed.

 

You can also use compress air and blow out all the debris that is behind the solenoid pack, before removing it.
