Default 1999 Grand Caravan ISSUES

I recently was given a 1999 Grand Caravan, but it has some interesting issues.

First I will start with the Tranny. I put it in any gear and nothing happens unless I rev the engine up. At about 2000 RPM it will go into gear. Checked and added fluid accordingly with the same outcome.

Also, The headlamps do not work except on the momentary flash.

Instrument cluster is completely devoid of life.

Front blower does not work.

Radio and power windows ONLY work with the key in ACC.

Windshield wipers do not work.

Now, here is the kicker, ALL fuses, breakers and relays are good.

Could this be a computer issue??

Did you try replacing fuses and relays? Or did you just visually inspect them. Many times these things can look fine but really be bad.

Have you tried disconnecting the battery for 5 minutes? This will reset the data bus and it's primary component - the Body Control Module or BCM. Many of the systems mentioned are controlled on one way or another by the BCM.

Your tanny problem sounds like low pump output or a clogged filter.

I actually had the battery out of the car for an hour today. I'll have to check the filters but the Trans is a new rebuild.
