pcv: stuck, don't want to break it

Look in your socket set, maybe one of your deep sockets will fit nicely. Or a bolt or old pipe fitting,

Thanks. Right, but i don't know how a socket or something elese fitting over the aluminum chimney of the pcv would adhere to it. it would just slide up and off, leaving the pcv in place, once i grip it with a tool and pull up on it to remove it from its port.

I was suggesting putting it inside to keep the metal part from collapsing and breaking off.
