Hi, I have a 98 Dodge Caravan SE with a 3.3 and automatic transmission. The Tranny has 45,000 miles on it and it was put in at 186,000 miles. I have gotten an intermittent Check Engine Light that occurs after driving for a couple of hours (mostly highway) and then stopping. Car goes into limp mode and 2nd gear. Two codes came up: P0715 and P1698. I am curious as to whether these 2 codes are related and what possible solutions exist. Ironically, after I restarted (and since) the car has been running fine. P0715 is an input sensor code and the P1698 is no ccd bus comm to the TCM. I would replace the input sensor and make sure you have a good connection. I have also seen where the connector would have a broken wire inside the connector. If you do replace the sensor, look at the old sensor and see if you have a lot of debris on the end of the sensor.
