I have a 2001 Grand Caravan, when I drive through heavy rain, I sometimes lose power steering. Last night, drove through a shallow puddle and briefly lost power steering. Battery light came on and temp gauge lit up. I'm sure something is shorting out, just not sure what and where.

 

Is the belt assembly or tensioner loose?

 

I also am assuming the belt is slipping. Probably need a belt and tensioner.
