Have a 2005 Grand Caravan. I can turn the cruise on and at any given amount of time it will shut off. By this I meen the light on the dash board goes out like I pushed the button to turn it off. This will happen even if I am sitting still and not turning the wheel.

 

Hey , Your either riding the brake pedal or your big foot has kicked the pedal switch out of adjustment that resides above the brake pedal ? Just an internet evaulation ! Lovvorn

 

I wish it was that simple. Brake peddle will only disengage the cruse not turn the light off on the dash too.

 

Was bad PCM

 

Did you replace the PCM or just have it reflashed?

 

A faulty TPS throttle position sensor will disable cruise control but normally will pop the check engine light... IN most cars, faulty TPS will also disable 4th gear (on a 4 speed transmission like yours) and TCC. TPS may show faulty at times and correct at others depending of how worn out they are.
