Anyone know what is a good brand after-market heavy duty oil pump for a 1994 Dodge 3.9 V6? Also, is it wise to increase the oil flow pressure on an engine having 130,000 miles? Would I also have to change the pick-up in the pan?

 

recommend replacing pickup if you replace pump. but putting a high volume pump may not be good because they can pump to much oil and not leave enough oil in pan sump to pump oil.

 

Makes sense to me.

Being I am not pulling a heavy load, I believe I will just install new (standard) pump and pick-up so that I know everything is up to par.
