Thumbs down Front & Rear brake pads @ 28K HIGHWAY Miles....REALLY??

Are you kidding me? This is my first vehicle that I have purchased and I need front and rear brakes at 28K miles. The dealership advised me that the average brake life on ANY vehicle is 22.5K miles. This is crazy! I am trading in this POS for a foreign car. I live in the Motor City and thought...hmm, let me buy Amercian. CRAP.....never again! I called Chrysler to complain to let them know the brake system is not up to par and that it needs to be a recall not just an extended warranty on the front brakes with a $100 deductable. What about the back brakes.........This is the reason they have gone from Hero to Zero and why their sales have gone down hill!!!!! DO NOT BUY A CHRYSLER VAN......you will be at the dealership every 20K miles....Do you research first because I didn't!

If the brakes are 4 wheel disc then it's an easy job to do these brakes YOURSELF. Upgrade to cross drilled slotted rotors and use Premium EBC Greenstuff and Yellowstuff brake pads... - This will certainly upgrade your entire brake system.

I hear you. Wish I had done more research also. These vans are junk.

The dealership told me that it is because of our driving habits that the rotors are warped on our van, roughly the same mileage as you.

They quoted that we should do front and rear pads and rotors... even though the pads have more than 50% remaining.
