Hey, newbie here

I wanted to know if anyone has experienced a similar problem and/or has a solution or any suggestions for a fix.

The problem is as follows:

The dash mounted speakers suddenly sound muffled when music is playing, and the door speakers have stopped working (or were never working to begin with ) for both left and right sides.

The dash speaker wires have been cut and re-attached, however the door speakers were not touched.

Everything is factory OE.

unfortunately, the only way to test speakers are putting a new one in and see if it works...
so the only thing you can really do is buy a cheap $9 speaker, throw them in, and see if you get sound. If not, you might need a Radio.

do you have a premium system with the amplified speakers? Could have blown the fuse for the speaker amps.

 

No, this is the lowline base model, anyways, turns out it was in "protection" mode, as one of the speakers was blown.
