Hi all. I'm trying to help my elderly neighbor with her problems on her '91 Dodge Caravan with 2.5 (?)liter 4 cylinder. Her gas gauge is dead and her speedometer/odometer doesn't work. She has no money, so it's a charity repair for me, I'll have to buy the parts and put them in. I was wondering what typically the problem is with these parts, i.e do I replace the nylon gear that drives the speedo if the cable is intact? And the gas gauge... is it normally the sender unit in the tank or the gauge in the cluster? All help appreciated, thanks.
