If you remove the coil pack you will see the coolant temperature sensor is located beside the heater supply fitting.

Is the coil pack difficult to remove?

Very easy to remove.
1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable at battery.
2. Remove the ignition cables from the ignition coil.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the ignition coil.
4. Remove 2 nuts from the ignition coil studs.
5. Remove ignition coil and bracket from engine.

Thanks Georgef, need to replace the same part but couldn't find the location of the temp sensor.

By the way, were are you getting those great pics from? A good service manual would really help get things done.

The pictures are from my 2001 Caravan Service Manual, but the 3.8 L engine hasn't changed much since then.

good day!

I'm planning to replace my coolant sensor, do I need to flush out the coolant first or can I just remove the pressure cap from the radiator?

thanks!
