Dodge Caravan Possessed
The problem is that you need Vehicle reconfiguration. Yes, the Car will Start and run, everything wil work. But the problem is, some of the Options might not work. For Example, like Remote Start, Fog Lamps, etc... you get the point. Sometimes I have to manually program the Tire Pressure Value for the TPMS light to go off.
If you got Barebone model Caravan, you might be able to drop a TIPM in and it will work. I don't exactly know whats th Default configuration is for the TIPM, all I know is you have a high chance to loose some of your accessory options.

Reminds me of the problems some would run into when swapping salvaged BCMs. Some options would work and some wouldn't. I'm under the impression Chrysler integrated the BCM into the cluster on the 5th gen vans. Did I get that wrong and it's really part of the TIPM now? Maybe the EVIC is talking to the TIPM as the programming is in progress.

From my experience, Cluster seem to control all the interior stuff, such as lightings, steering wheel buttons, etc... while TIPM controls all the exterior stuff, like Starter engagement, Headlights, Trailer electronics, etc...
However, Cluster appears to be made exactly the same across all Caravan. I've Swap Cluster many times without programing anything.
But we are getting rid of the TIPM and going back to BCM as the control hub again, it has alrdy happened in Charger, Journey, and Dart. and will be implanted in Ram and Jeeps next year.
Is like Everything needs to be programed nowaday, more and more independent shops are buying Manufacturer specific subscriptions now.
