I have a 2002 Dodge Caravan SE. It has a hidden trailer hitch on back (max trailer weight: 3500 lbs // max tongue weight: 300 lbs). The hitch receiver hole is about 1" wide.

I do not have the hitch bar or ball but am considering getting one from UHAUL or Canadian Tires. I see mention of 2" receiver required. Are they talking about the length of the hold or how wide the hitch receiver hole needs to be to accept the bar + ball? Again my hitch receiver hold is about 1" wide, left to right.

It's probably a standard 1-1/4 inch reciever bar that's required. you can get them at any car parts place, Walmart, and such. Then you just have to worry about what size ball 1-7/8 or 2 inch. Good luck!
