Default 97 caravan cam and crank sensor problems

Hi guys new to the forum had the 97 caravan 3.3 van towed to a local garage cause it would crank over but wouldn't start anyways they replaced both the cam sensor and crank both at the same time we picked the van up and drove it for a day and a half and while at the junk yard to pickup a gas cap someone stole off the van!!! left the van running with the air on to go get the gas cap in the yard came back out to put the cap on and it and the van had died tried to start the van up and it would fire back up had the van towed back to the garage we had it fixed at they will look at it tommrow.. but my question is why would the sensors go back out so soon? is there a wiring ordeal or what.. kinda not trusting the van now it could leave us stranded at any time so if you guys can shed any light on this would be great.

Could have easily been another bad sensor especially if they used cheap aftermarket sensors. It's not the norm but I have read of people going through 3 and 4 bad sensors until they get one that works. Could very well be a bad wire or corroded connection at the sensor or PCM.
