I need some help please I need to change the AC compressor on my Grand Caravan. It is a 1999 and has 3.3 engine. The compressor seized up a while back and I have removed the belt just to get it to start.
I would like some fairly detailed instructions if possible as I am only a "fair" mechanic at best. Maybe just a copy and past from the manual might do. (I seem to have lost mine). Any tips or advice from the more learned among'st us would be greatly appreciated

Anytime a compressor seizes you should flush the system with an approved cleaning solvent to get any metal debris out of the system, otherwise you could be changing another compressor. That and change the filter/dryer.

thanks, I have sent you a PM. My friend has a pump/gun to flush the system that he will lend me. When I have got all the new parts I will give it a good clean clean out. Don't want to be stuck on the off ramp again lol
