Exclamation Transmission Leaking

I have a 1999 dodge grand caravan se awd with a 3.8 L engine and I have noticed that my transmission has a very bad leak It is right above the frame and is pouring out the tranny fluid. I am at a loss on what the problem is. My mechanic will fix it for $2500 usd but I don't that much money. I need desperate help please.

Wow. $2500 really? You can replace the transmission at that price. I had a leak a few years ago. They removed the transmission then took it apart and changed seals and a bushing and reinstalled it for $700. You need to shop around.

Well it turns out that it is the real transmission seal or known as the transmission shaft seal. It rarely goes out from what I hear but once that is replaced I will update the status of my transmission

Well I have replaced the rear shaft seal and needed to replace all of my seals and gaskets and now no more leaks. Works great just like new.
