Hello all...newbie here. Well I have a 95 Dodge Caravan with the 2.5L engine (vin K). Well the engine is bad and I want to replace it. I have heard I could go back to 92 for an engine but I am not sure. Also that it would not matter if it was from a car.

 

I believe that is correct also. If you have a whole parts van you could convert it to a V6. You could use almost any year of the 2.5, depends on how many parts you would want to swap over. The newer the better though.

 

Yeah I was thinking of a V6 swap but will stick with the 4cyl. Will start taking it apart tomorrow. Hopefully I find a motor. Went to a couple of pick your parts yards. If I had a 3.0L, 3.3L or a 3.8L I would be in luck because I Have found 2 of each of those motors. But no 2.5L[:@]

 

Call around to a few places and ask. I went to several places back when I had my Lebaron...couldnt find an engine.....called a few places further out....found half a dozen engines plus 1 turbo
