3.6 l penstar motor with a cylinder misfire and on ck light on ?
Yes, This is very interesting indeed. Thanks for the post .
I'm past 24000 miles.
It seems like they are saying that if you abuse the engine it will begin to misfire?
On the other hand It sounds like they recommend high octane for the remedy outside of heads being replaced.
We'll see what happens I guess.
Thanks again!

Hi, Just got back from dealer today and they say I need a new head! two weeks back order! approximately three weeks here?
In my prior posts I tried to be optimistic and even joke about the faint tick of the injectors but now.....?
(1) Does anyone( Masters) know if there was a ( "Robust")redesign of both heads or just one?
I am going to try and help Chrysler customer service decide to swap out both In my situation, as I do not want to do this again and again ( Like some others who have same problem with head(s?) being the issue, reports of ticking, stalling and loss of power and again as I have heard has happened, outside of Chrysler's reports of course.
I Purchased this new /used w/24,000 2012 Caravan Crew to take care of my son (in wheelchair for life) ...to and from appointments and such. I cannot play this game with Chrysler/dealer under the certain extraordinary circumstances?
Dealer provided a replacement/ stripped down Caravan in the meantime.
Any thoughts are appreciated.
Thanks

I have been told the cylinder heads have been redesign. The problem has been with the left cylinder head not the right. Once all the bad cylinder heads have been replaced, there shouldn't anymore problem. I already knew the cylinder heads are on back ordered. We are still waiting for a few.

Thanks again Master Tech!
A friend of mine just purchased a 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan has around 90,000kms after only having it for three days noticed the engine light one went to have it checked out it was put on the computer and showed it was a Massive Misfire apparently Chrysler has a 10 year warranty used to be five but now 10 so off to be fixed we hope this will fix the problem I can see from the other postings here you still can have problem with other heads so that is not so good will keep you updated how the repairs go.
Have 2012 Grand Caravan with 6 cyl. At 48,000 miles, I had similar issue. Took it to dealer and they replaced the head under warranty. Said this will fix the issue. Car just passed 96,000, same issue. Took it to the dealer. They are going to replace, UNDER WARRANTY, a bunch of internal (lifters, rockers, etc) along with possibly the head again. This appears to be a known issue. Normal 30 mile commute into work, 30 miles home. Highway speeds of 60-70 mph (Dallas, Tx). This DID NOT surprise the dealer at all. Figure on running it for another 47,000 and then trade the sucker.
