Default First Post, 2009 GC Front Blower Resistor

I need to find the location of the front blower resistor, as I lost all fan operation and the resistor fuse could be the problem.

Everyone says it's right behind the glovebox door, but after I dropped the door, it is nowhere to be seen.

Does anybody know where it may be?

Thanks,

Stan

So you removed the glove box drawer and it's no where in sight. The web has little on location on a 5th generation van. The few statements on 08s there say as you say, "it's behind the glove box door". Can't find anything on an 09. What to do?

You could post a picture of the area for us to examine. An easier way would be to find the blower motor connector (yes behind the glove box) then follow those wires to the first unit it comes to. That would be your resistor/controller. If you have manual heat control you have a resistor block. If you have automatic temp control you have a solid state controller.

Here's a couple of pics looking at behind the glovebox.

No blower resistor to be found. I started to remove the facia around the glovebox opening, but it looks like a further disassembly of the dash is required before the facia piece.

It looks like a dealer trip for us....Name: 2012-11-09_12-34-12_269.jpg

it is not behind the glove box as in removing it. you do NOT have to remove the glove box. You suppose to look behind the glove box UNDER the dash, by pulling the seat all the way back, lay on the floor upside down with a flash light. It is the area ABOVE your feet rest at.

on my 05 its behind the glove box. Open the glove box, squeeze the bottom corners together and remove the glove box. The resistor is right there

We made an appointment with the local Dodge Dealer, and the day before the appointment the blower started working and has been fine ever since. Gremlins??
