Rear caliper dodge caravan 2009
Hi, i was comfuse with that problem. When i turn the piston clock wise it do not retract. I have to push to retract it. Now the poston is not enough retract to clear the new pads and rotor but I'm unable to give it more. What I'm doing wrong.
If I have to change it!!!
Is there a special procedure to do when changing the caliper?
thanks

what tool are you using? you suppose to push WHILE turning.
are you using this tool?

Is both side doing the same thing? or just 1 side? if Both side is doing the same thing, you are probably doing something wrong.
If only 1 side, then you probably got a bad caliper.

no it's not the tool I use is a block buy at canadian tire http://forum.mazda6club.com/suspensi...per-block.html . Yes it does that on both side.
Now I change the caliper. Do I have to do something special or just change and blead is good.
thanks

it is change and bleed, and new caliper always comes as "in" position. However, trying to hook up the parking brake cable is the worst part of the whole job.
Perhaps you should consider getting the right tool instead, that Cube is horrible.
