209 Grand Caravan SE TPS (tire pressure sensors)
I have a 09 Grand caravan which had the Siemens VDO TPS. As many others have experienced the AL nut cracked and failed on one sensor and were just cracked on the other tires. Auto parts stores sell new nut / seal kits but my sensors were corroded enough that I didn't trust them even after cleaning them up. After doing some research I decided on getting Schrader brand sensors P/N28434 from Autozone $47 (I normally prefer advance auto but they didn't offer this model). Anyways, the advantage of this sensor is that it is a rubber coated brass stem (replaceable stem) that pulls into the rim (looks like a classic valve stem) - no aluminum to corrode, no torque spec. to worry about. I needed to have 2 tires replaced and the garage (Sams) installed the TPS's for 5$ each. Then I just had to drive for ~ 20 mi / 30 minutes for the van to learn the new sensors (no programming required). The Schrader sensors appears to be ~ the same weight as the OEM sensors even with using a brass stem (smaller plastic part inside the tire). - hope this helps-

I haven't seen the problem with the nuts, But i have seen the tire pressure light come on the 2008 thru 2012 minivans. Saying low tire. Air up the tires to factory specs and road test and the light still stays on. After resetting the threshold from 36 psi to 28 psi. Then the light goes out. I also seen the Wireless Control Module (WCM) cause the light to go on and there are no codes.
