Default Has Anyone Swap a 3.8 into a 3.3 2002 GC?

I searched but my terms aren't doing so good.

Has this been done and discussed anywhere. So far all I see is a flex plate issue.
Would want my tranny for the lower gears. I think.

The 3.8 has a knock sensor but if the computer isn't looking for the signal it shouldn't be a problem. Flexplate should be the same.

Assuming both engines are around the same year sensors should all be the same.

Thanks but I know better than to a$$-ume if you know hat I mean. I have searched some and among the results I hear a flex plate may be an item of interest. I would love to hear from one who has done it though.

I also found a site where a gentleman experimented with forced induction on a 3.3 and blew a hole out of the block in the process. It was done in a lab just to see what would happen.

In that article I read a spec chart showing the 3.8 to be 23 more HP than the 3.3.
I plan on keeping this van and the Motor seems fine but for a slight vibration @ idle in gear. I am trying to run that down now.
I want to look at a 3.8 possibility for mounting on my 3.3 transmission for its lower gears than normally come with the 3.8.
I am contemplating in gathering it up and building/repairing/nurturing it in my shop at my leisure.
@ 125+k and my driving style I may want to be ready. I figure if and when my trans goes I'll do it all. If not my siblings can fight over it when I'm gone.

The gear ratio in the transaxle is different and may cause an unwanted effect from the TCM. My swap is removing the 3.3 and replacing it with a 3.8 and the AWD transaxle. I have the TCM and PCM from the AWD donor.
