Driver Slide door won't open...

I have a 2001 Caravan SE that the driver's side sliding door won't unlock thus not allowing it to open. It won't even unlock manually with the key. Any thoughts?

Mechanism is inside the rear well of the drivers side slider door. There is a pin that allows the door to unlock
