Tire Life
Hi, 2011 gc crew with 15,400 miles...live in upstate ny so winters can be tricky. Having a heck of a time getting traction. A friend said it looks like we need new tires...I don't see how that is possible? they have been rotated 2 to 3 times since purchased. Recommendations?
If they are bad...what is the best all-season GC tire for snow etc...
thanks

Are your tires worn down to the wear indicators or unevenly worn or did your friend just say that because your current tires can't hack the snow?
BTW- Lived in Plattsburgh for 8 years. Are you that far upstate? Snow tires are a must have up there.

a. Do you have the traction control turned on?
b. I suppose you have the 6 speed with autostick-I think they're all equipped that way. First gear is VERY low on these, which makes starting on slick surfaces diffiicult. Have you tried starting in 2nd or 3rd to see if it helps?
I'm sure snow tires, as recommended by others, would help a lot; for those who are recommending them I have this question: Do they have to be mounted in sets or can you use them only on the front?
