Default Front Suspension Noise

Hey there evryone. So I have a 01 dodge caravan and I had a "clunk" noise in the front left and right of the van when hitting a bump. Since it has 184,000 I decided to replace the struts with the monroe quick struts on both sides. After I did this the "clunk" on the left side is now gone but I still have it on the right side. Would anyone have any idea what it could be or why I would still have this noise. The van does handle much better. I have noticed that when I am turning and hit a bump I tend not to hear this noise. Any help you can give is greatly appreciated!!

Thanks!!!
Adam

While you were in there, did you replace the sway bar bushings or the stabilizer bar links? If not, that's where I'd be looking. There are many, many topics on here about these problems.

Do yourself a big favor and don't go cheap on the links. The cheap ones last about a year at best and you'll be right back to where you are now.

Just did this on mine and got rid of the clunk too...all of it!
Get the greaseable links and good sway bar bushings and use silicone greage when installing the bushings. It will quiet all the clunks since you have replaced the complete struts.

yes I did my '03 and had to go back in to grease the bushings after it was still making noise. Very important to grease them

So I replaced both the sway bar bushings and links and the "clunk" is gone!!! Thank you all for your help. I also had an alignment done because I also put in the Monroe Quick struts. Then when I got home I noticed that the alignment spec sheet they gave me said "1999 dodge caravan" but in fact it is a 2001. Do I need to have them check it again or are the specs the same????
