Yikes, that does sound scary. Almost sounds like some sort of harmonic resonance rather than a physical rubbing or something.

 

My 2012 makes the same sound.

 

My 2013 made this sound today for the first time..its only 2 months old. It went away within 20 seconds..any ideas?

 

by looking at that video I caint really tell but I think the steering fluid looks real low. pumps known to whine. could be the pump.
