Default 3.0L timing problems

My wife was driving the van the other day and it died on her suddenly so she tried to start it. It turns out that the timing belt broke. Do you think any damage was done to the valves?

Plug your info in the middle column here: http://www.gates.com/part_locator/in...o=Interference

The 3.0 is a non-interference engine. The chances of additional damage aren't zero but most likely your engine is fine.

I agree, I would install a timing belt and start the engine. If the engine runs badly, then you may have bent the valves.

I am having a problem with removing the water pump there is a bracket at the top with 3 bolts in it 2 of them hit the intake and this bracket is blocking access to one of the bolts to remove the water pump any one know how to remove these bolts without taking off the intake?
