auto climate control delay....
Hey all. Just bought my second caravan, well actually this one is a 2002 town and country, but my question is how long does the fan delay usually last on the auto climate control? It has been very cold here in ohio (10-30 degrees) so I would expect the fan delay to be a bit long, but it just seems excessive. The van will be fully warmed up and still the fan doesnt come on for a few more minutes. I would say it takes 7-10 minutes for the fan to kick sometimes. Like I said, new van to me and its loaded with this fancy pants ac control box, so Im not sure if this is normal or not. Thanks in advance.
This is from the '07 owners manual, would assume it is close to yours, you'd have to look. Appears the delay feature can be disabled.
To provide you with maximum comfort in the automatic
mode, during cold start-ups the blower fan will remain
off and “DELAY” will appear in the front ATC display
until the engine warms up. Also, an estimate of the time
remaining until the “DELAY” is over will appear periodically
in the display. However, the fan will engage
immediately if the defrost mode is selected or by rotating
the blower control to any fixed blower speed.
This feature may be disabled using the following procedure:
²
Press and hold the Heated Rear Window and Auto LO
buttons for 5 seconds.
²
The “DELAY” symbol will flash to indicate that the
feature as been disabled.

No, this delay took like 10 minutes, I am pretty sure the unit is not working right, especially since the blower now blow air constantly. Even with the climate control turned off the blower turns on full blast, and stays on a medium speed when on. I guess I will have to seek out a new ac control panel...
The blower motor staying on is the power module failed. The bearings in the blower motor get rusty and corroded and it starts to draw too much current and caused the blower resistor to fail. Since you have auto temp, it is a power module and more money. I would recommend replacing the blower motor and the power module
