2001 - DODGE GRAND CARAVAN
Opened garage door and used key FOB to unlock doors and then the external fans mounted behind the radiator sponteneously turned on, even with no key in ignition and it was only 22 degrees outside and had not been used since yesterday. Now whenever we shut off the engine the fans remain on constantly so we have disconected the battery until we can find out why. Also check engine light is now illuminated. How scared should we be? (LOL)

 

Good possibility the radiator fan control module had failed and needs to be replaced. It is rivoted to the metal bumper reinforcement just over from the left headlamp housing.
