Default 2006 Grand Caravan Stalls after getting gas

After filling up, our 3.8 L sputters/stalls for a second or 2. Wondering if it is a check valve or Canister. I have Lifetime power train warranty, not sure if something like this would be covered or not. It only does it once, then ok til next fill up. This just started recently and we don't squeeze gas in when pump shuts off.

Thanks

The vapor canister is purged after filling and instead of vapor, liquid gas is injected into the engine, making the fuel mixture too rich causing the engine to stumble or even die.

Mine does this and the fix is too expensive, so I just live with it. If you can shut the pump off before the tank is full you can avoid this problem.

No, Check Engine Lights are on. It passed emissions a few weeks back. It is just an annoyance. I saw the other comment about shutting off before filled, I will mention that to her as well.

yeah... you might need a gas tank. Some of the check valve is probably bad and allowing Raw fuel to enter the Canister.

I guess you'll just have to work around it and only fill up to 3/4 tank everytime.

Same problem with early 300's as well. In this case the tanks were revised for the late 2006/2007 year. It's an expensive fix totaling $1,600.
