Hey all,
Been a Caravan owner since 2004. Have always had the SXT with model years 2004, 2008, now 2012. Anyways just wondering if anyone has had this particular issue with their van and if they have had it fixed.

The issue is turning on the heater and fan, the air coming out is cold even with it turned all the way to warmest setting. You have to either push the AC button to cycle it off and on or turn the temp control **** from heat to cold and then back to heat. When I took the van in for oil change I had them look at this issue.

The dealership acknowleged that this is an issue nationwide, and they are aware of it. However they said that at this time they have no fix for it. Anyone here with the same problem, and did you get the issue serviced ? I have not checked with the dealer recently to see if a TSB has been issued.

 

Same issue sometimes with my 2012 and my co workers 2012. I found that just turning the temp control down a bit and then back up fixes it also.

I believe it is a blend door issue. Eventually they will have a fix I am sure.

 

It's happened to my 2012, too. Only once or twice. Wiggling the temp ***** a bit seems to fix it.
