Default Brake controller - 2013 Caravan Crew Plus

Just got a new 2013 Caravan Crew Plus with the factory hitch and 7/4 harness installed. I need to install a brake controller, but have no idea where to start. I figured the wiring would already be in the cabin. Under the hood I found where the harness connects to and there is a light blue wire coiled up (about 5 feet in length )

Anyone have a clue on how to connect the brake controller?

Cheers

look at web sites of controllers, they have wiring diagram. I have one installed I put in my self by following the diagrams. run 2 wires from the battery to the rear. I ran 10gage as that's what was recommended. I put 2 auto fuses just after the battery on the pillar. '

Everything is already wired and working. Pulled my trailer to test and the electric breaks are needed to aid in stopping lol. Just need to connect the brake controller. You think when it's all factory installed, they would run the wires back into the van to connect the controller...

I found installation instructions for the OEM trailer wiring harness for the 2013 GC here.

I believe the answer to your question starts at step 37.

I'm on the same boat.
I have tow package from factory but it doesn't have the conector for the brake controller.
You have to installed after the fact.

I posted a past thread about towing with a minivan but no one responded to it! But in the future, I might tow an RV with my 2005 D.G.C. SXT with tow package. I plan on getting this electronic Proportional Brake Controller - http://www.etrailer.com/Brake-Contro...eid=2005106313

It's cheapest on ebay - http://www.ebay.com/itm/121053881147...84.m1423.l2649

They say Tekonsha's are the best but they make no custom plug in harness for the latest Dodge / Chrysler minivans. I think like on my 2005 SXT, you have to splice a wire in your brake pedal switch. I know the 2ndary brake wire [to tap to] on my 2005 SXT from looking at the Service Manual.

I need to get this, too: http://www.etrailer.com/p-ETBC7/Brak...-10-Gauge.html

Here's instruction for you minivan: http://www.etrailer.com/tv-brake-con...d-caravan.aspx

What do you plan on towing?
