airbag light on /no horn/no cruise/2001 dodge caravan
hi all.......just bought this van
im out of patients and ideas now!
i have all the symptoms of a clockspring gone bad.......
so i changed it ........still same problems airbag light on/ no horn/no cruise
no codes from scanner......i tried 2 different new clocksprings thinking the first one was maybe bad too......
all fuses and relays are ok..........no power to horn
checked all the wiring under the dash looks ok.......
only other thing im thinking is there is an aftermarket remote starter hooked up , could the wires be possibly tied into something to do with these problems?????
any help or ideas would be awesome.....
ive hit a dead end with what to check next!
thanks

yes horn works if i apply power .......i havent got the scanner for the module....i was going to bring to dealer after i figured out the horn part of it....the air bag light should not effect the horn correct?
If you are not getting any voltage to the clockspring, that will cause air bag light to come on and the speed control and horn will not work. The problem maybe the wire harness before the steering column. You need to start under the dash for your problem. Have you checked all the fuses?
yes i am getting voltage to clockspring....(5 volts to horn and cruise)all the fuses are good (checked with meter).......iam getting continuity from clock spring.......(horn and cruise side of harness)
should i be looking at a ground somewhere possibly horn?
or inside the fuse box i've heard of corroding inside ,under the fuses.(i took off the plug for this harness and they look ok)

update......iam getting around 2 volts on all pins at the clockspring itself (where the plug attaches) so iam getting power through the clockspring .....which i figured because it is new ....but checked anyway....
iam getting continuity from all the switches for the cruise and horn. I
didnt what to start poking around the airbag pins (might ruin my day lol)which should not be getting any voltage anyway correct?
where next???????????????????????????????

Scan for active codes, that way i can put the pdf file here to help you guide thru the next step.

My vote would be for the clockspring. My fathers is non-functioning now too. It was a problem on them, even a recall.
