Default a fan won't shut off

I have a 99' Dodge Grand Caravan SE with a 3.3 engine. The fan won't shut off. This isn't for a couple minutes after I turn off the engine- it will stay on until it kills the battery.
2 different mechanics tried plugging in a scanner- both got 'no errors'. I've been making it by by either pulling the main fan relay switch in the fuse box or unhooking the battery EVERY TIME I get in or out.

The mechanic I took it to popped the hood, opened the fuse box, pressed on some stuff, and declared it was the ignition switch. Long story short, they finally admitted the ignition switch wasn't the problem and (I quote) "we have no idea what's wrong". But they still charged me for the unnecessary switch & labor. Pay or no keys. I paid. Which is why I'm now broke and on this forum.

My dad came over today and checked the temperature sensor. That wasn't it either.

So do I need another mechanic or a priest?

Thank you in advance for your advice.

Wow, do you ever need another mechanic. You have a very common fault caused by a bad cooling fan relay. They either fail on or off leaving you a dead battery or an overheat condition. I'm amazed your mechanics never got there. Sounds like they may be good for changing tires or oil but little else.

Here's a video that tells you all about it. You can skip the first minute. You don't need a mechanic. It's a reasonably easy DIY project.
