Code definitions according to the Actron website:

Code 34 - "First Row Passenger Seat Belt Sensor Short To Ground"
You could disconnect the negative battery cable, wait 2 minutes then inspect the wire harness and connection to the passenger seat belt tensioner.

Code 64 - "Right Side Satellite Acceleration Sensor (SAS) #3 Loss Of Communication Diagnostic Code"
I haven't got a clue.

I looked real quick 10mins, pulled some trim off, wiggled connesion, no luck(did find bottle cap and old candy cain half)
reconnected battery erased codes

then turned the wheel to lock and only code 34 came back

the tensioner return power did seem less then the driver side, as in it takes a few more split seconds to rewind. wiggling/inspecting the wires inside the trim below the tensioner did nothing

it is still strange that the only way to get the airbag light to come on(parked) is to turn the steering wheel all the way to lock, (driving does not require to turn the wheel as far)

also I can get the airbag light to come on and off (90%) of the time by tilting the wheel up, airbag light comes on, tilting it down, light goes of, wheel still have to be turned

looks like might be letting the dealer handle this one

after more investigating, *mainly the tilt steering wheel*

I pulled the battery removed the steering wheel shroud

then what I don't recomend

I reconnected the battery and held the wires still when I tilted the wheel up, no light, I let go of wire, light, I then pulled on connectors and sure enough the air bag connector in the clockspring, was tight, but very small amount of play, pulled on it, light on, pushed a bit, no light,

The Fix

removed battery
removed connection
blew out both connections with air compressor
put small amount of di-electric grease(very small amount)
reconnected connector
added a bit of black electrical tape
added a few zip ties to keep it from moving
so far 10mins of wheel to wheel lock and tilting wheel up and down no light

will post some pics in a bit

So far so good, will be able to tell more this week and will post back, before this it started turning on with every turn

I used the thin black zip tie to hold the wires together, and before I cinched it tight, I ran the larger white zip through it, the black electrical tape I ran around the wires, then around the box, not holding much/if any pressure, but it made me feel better

And when I installed the zip ties, the steering wheel tilt was all the way up, I normally drive with the will tilted all the way down, and so I figured I will have the most play

Not going to guarantee that the light will never come back on, but if it does then I can look at a wiring extension for that connector

ps. the red lines look like I drew a house

Probably just spread terminals. don't know if you could get them out of the connector but worth looking into if the problem comes back.

Update

after driveing a few hundred miles I did have the light come on/off 3x,
which is a great improvement considering it had come on/off with every turn, should pass inspection since the only times the light came on where when I was turning off a highway(more strain on the connector)

so I will be looking at buying either a new connector/terminals if they sell just the connector,

or I will be making a visit to the local yard and cutting off a connector and buying new terrminals

thanks for all those who helped

Decided to go ahead and replace the connector

Thanks to Tizzy1 for the source of the used connector.
I replaced the airbag connector today. Since my fix I had the airbag light come on/off only 4x, but hopefully this will be the permanent fix.
I practiced with the used connector, since I could sit down in good light and see just how it comes apart. I first was going to buy a tool set to remove connectors, but after seeing how I already had a super small flat head, I figured I would have a go at it.
First disconnect the battery…..
Well to remove the wires, first you open the back, I found it easiest to use my snap ring pliers to press the two sides apart and lift the back up.
Open of the wires a little to give you some working room, wires order purple, light green, purple, red (at least that’s the colors my eyes showed me, the first two wires and second two wires are tapped together, and then both groups of wires tapped all together.
Then you insert the small flat head under the terminal, with bottom of the screw driver angled up towards the terminal , letting it gently slide down the terminal about ¼ inch till it finds resistance, then you raise the bottom of the screw driver up towards the top, pressing the tip of the screw driver down onto the retaining tab.
Then you gently pull the wire out, should come out with little resistance,

Hi. New to the forum. I have an '01 Dakota 4.7L and the airbag light keeps going on/off intermittently. I have been trying to find a pattern, but so far no luck. Seems to come on most when I tap the brakes or turn the wheel to the left (mostly). Then will go off...on...etc. Mostly on! Irritating. I'm not familiar with the clock spring replacement discussed above. Could this be the problem? Or could it be a sensor in the bumper or something? That is what one person told me (but they may not know). I pulled the codes at Autozone, but nothing showed up - maybe their tool d/n pick up airbag codes? My '01 T&C Limited did the same exact thing!

Autozone reader does not work for airbag codes. I would try to retrieve the code before throwing hundreds of dollars at it. Most likely a bad clockspring but get the code first.
