Default Caravan Engine ratchet metal sound

My engine on my Caravan 2004 (3.3L V6) started to have a ratchet metal sound that follow the RPM of the motor. It started after I had a fast accelaration to get on the boulevard from a stopped position.

Thanks in advance.

If the speed of the ratcheting sound directly follows the RPM as you indicate, regardless of vehicle speed or transmission gear selection, you likely have an internal engine problem. If you have any knowledge about cars you ought to at least try to pinpoint a location that the sound comes from to narrow down if it's coming from the block or the head.

Regardless you ought to have that checked out sooner rather than later.

To get any meaningful advice you'll need to either post a video of the noise or try to locate where the noise is coming from exactly. A paper towel tube or long screwdriver can be very useful in pinning down the source of the noise.
