Yeah, I completed the tune up but it took something like 3 hours to finish. My arms are all cut up and it was so difficult getting my arms back to the spark plugs. Thanks really do appreciate it very much!!!!!!!!!
I suspect the problem with the AA tool is the hand crank, which will only provide as much torque as your grip can supply. Those wiper arms get locked in there solid after a number of years, and it takes quite a bit of force to pop them loose. Here is one of many 2-jaw pullers that would work. The difference is that it's torqued via a socket/ratched, so much more force can easily be applied.

Just had the wiper arms off of my 2007 GC yesterday. Had the windshield replaced recently and the blades weren't lined up properly. They also forgot to reconnect the windshield washer hose (they remove the wiper tray to replace the windshield). Although I have had good service at that shop in the past, this Technician's work was not what I expected.

I used a tie rod end puller and it worked real well. It looks a lot like the wiper arm puller from Advance Auto but much more capable. Once tight, a little twisting and "snap", it's loose. Here's what the puller looks like: http://www.princessauto.com/pal/en/S...over/8355828.p

I have used a battery terminal type, two prong puller on my 2002 GC to loosen the wiper arms but it just slipped when trying to remove the arms on the 2007 GC. The wiper arms are of a different design, the 2002s being much flatter underneath. That puller looks like this http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/brows....jsp?locale=en and is light duty/inexpensive. I have used it for lots of things including removing the flywheel from a lawnmower engine.

Hint: loosen the nut but leave it on the stud to help keep the puller shaft in place.
