Default Windshield wiper will not come off.

I bought this windshield wiper tool for about 15.00 dollars but it will not remove the wiper from the windshield. I took of the bolt using a 15mm socket and ratchet and sprayed some 5d40 to make it easier but it still would not release. The wiper tool will not fit. The wiper tool works on the rear windshield wiper but it does not fit the front windshield wiper. I tried to pry it off but also did not work. So, is there any tool that I could purchase that would take off the wiper blades? The basis of doing this was to get to the back spark plugs to do a removal/install of new plugs. Any suggestions???

When trying to pry it off with the tool tap the tool with a hammer. Some shock might help knock it loose.

Don't know exactly what $15 tool you have, but the first time I took mine off, a standard 2 jaw puller worked great. I had first tried a couple other things, which were a waste of time. The wiper arms get locked in there solid, so you really should use a puller that fits and works correcty.

I purchased the OTC windshield wiper puller at Advance Auto (here is what it looks like) http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web...otc_28030009-p and returned the item because it did not work. I tried to jiggle it off using a rubber hammer and a pry bar but this wiper is stuck on there. I would love to know what kind of 2 jaw puller was used to get the wiper off. Yeah, I completed the tune up but it took something like 3 hours to finish. My arms are all cut up and it was so difficult getting my arms back to the spark plugs. Thanks really do appreciate it very much!!!!!!!!!

Use a better penetrant like Liquid Wrench, PB Blaster, or FreezeOff. WD-40 is pretty worthless as a penetrant. I use a battery terminal 2-jaw puller with PB Blaster and it hasn't failed me yet.
